MEMDOS KMS
Piston diaphragm dosing pump
The MEMDOS KMS is a piston diaphragm dosing pump that combines the high-pressure capability of a piston pump with the leak-free operation of a diaphragm pump. The piston does not plunge into the liquid to be metered but only displaces glycerin, and the displaced glycerin volume moves the diaphragm back and forth.
Thanks to the closed surge chamber and the incompressibility of the glycerin, the diaphragm is hydraulically connected directly to the piston and transfers the pump movement to the metered liquid. The separating diaphragm is tightened between two spherically perforated bracket plates and can expand freely within these limits; its possible stroke volume is at least 50% higher than that of the piston, so the diaphragm does not touch the plates and achieves a long service life.
Key features
- Leak-free dosing — the piston never contacts the medium
- Hydraulic transmission via glycerin
- Diaphragm protected between spherically perforated bracket plates
- Sealing liquid escaping from the piston packing is returned to the supply bin via a recirculating channel — very low consumption
- Metering capacity and maximum back pressure depend on the size of the driving gear (REKOS KR / KARDOS KN drives)
- Dosing heads in PVC, PP, PVDF and stainless steel
